The Crowley County Heritage Center, located in Crowley, houses a
vast collection of articles specializing in life on the plains and
the history of Crowley County.
If walls could speak, the walls of this building would speak
volumes. The Crowley County Heritage Center has been welcoming
individuals for nearly 100 years. Founded in 1914, it first served
as a school for the surrounding community. Over the years it has
housed everything from weddings and church services to revivals and
a hospital. The Center now stands as a “beacon on the plains”
proudly accommodating many of the surrounding communities’
functions. For more information, please visit crowleyheritagecenter.com or
for a real treat stop by in person.
The Heritage Center also has a wealth of resources to help
genealogists. Visit their
website for more information.
